Quidam by Cirque du Soleil premiered in 1996 and since then has toured Canada, US, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Middle-East and Korea. A few facts about the show… - Quidam, pronounced "key-dam," is a Latin word for an anonymous passerby, a solitary figure lingering on a street corner, a person rushing past, living lost amidst the crowd.

About the set…
- Presented in the 2,544 seat state of the art Grand Chapiteau, Quidam turns gravity on its head with an impressive 120-feet overhead conveyor made up of five imposing rails which takes up the entire interior roof surface of the Grand Chapiteau. This system is used to bring artists onto the stage and to create a multitude of special effects.
- The 387 square-foot stage consists of aluminium panels that were custom-drilled, folded, structured and covered with mondo.
- The 34-foot diameter turntable can turn in two directions, in different speeds and can support up to 50 people.

- 15 countries are represented in the 51-artist cast of Quidam: 15 are from Russia, 10 from the USA, 5 from Canada, 5 from Australia, 4 from China, 3 from Brazil, 1 from Argentina, 1 from France, 1 from Germany, 1 from Great Britain, 1 from Hungary, 1 from Japan, 1 from Kazakhstan, 1 from New-Zealand and 1 from Ukraine.
- The average age of the Quidam cast is 28.
