Travel benefits

Stepping onto the stage of a Cirque du Soleil production can be a wonderful way to see the world while doing what you love to do.

We have shows that travel the world and shows the world travels to. At any one time we may be touring on up to five different continents while maintaining a permanent presence in North America and – as of 2008 – in Asia.

Touring shows

We currently have eight shows touring the world. Here are some of the travel benefits you can expect as an artist on tour:

Travel at the beginning and end of your employment contract
Travel between the cities on the tour
A return trip home once every 12 months
Local transportation between the site and your accommodations, if the distance is greater than 1.5 kilometers
Shared accommodations (a private room in a shared apartment), unless you are touring full time with your children
Visas and work permits initiated and paid for by Cirque du Soleil

Resident shows

We currently have seven resident shows in the United States, with two more to be launched in 2008 in Japan and Macao. Here are some of the travel benefits you can expect as an artist on a resident show:

Travel at the beginning and end of your employment contract
Local transportation allowance during the first two weeks of integration if you don't own a car
Accommodations provided until two weeks after your integration
Visas and work permits initiated and paid for by Cirque du Soleil
