Our touring shows participate in the community life of the places we visit. We organize many workshops and meetings with local partners, and we invite young people at risk to visit our sites to give them a taste of the day-to-day reality of Cirque du Soleil. These simple initiatives often have a marked effect, because marginalized young people are so used to being ignored and excluded.
As part of our benefit performance programme, Cirque du Soleil makes gift of show tickets to organizations that then resell them to benefit their causes. Funds collected in this way finance programmes and services for young people at risk. In addition, Cirque du Soleil also offers dress rehearsal show tickets to organizations working with young people at risk so their clients can attend our shows.
