Luc Lafortune

Lighting Designer

Lafortune is a Cirque du Soleil veteran. He started with the company in 1984 and designed the lighting for Cirque Réinventé, Saltimbanco, Mystère, Alegría, Quidam, "O," Dralion and Zumanity. He was also the lighting co-designer for Varekai. For the new production at MGM Grand, Lafortune set out to create a distinctive glow emanating from the depths of the set. "I'm treating the space as if it were a theatre upside-down," he says.
