Among the numerous awards Michael Curry has received for his unique puppet designs is the 1998 Drama Desk Award for his work on The Lion King. His astonishing creations were also showcased at the 1996 Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies, Superbowl 2000 and New York City's Times Square 2000 Millennium event. For the new Cirque show in Las Vegas he has created puppets that are a cross between costumes and the exoskeletons of a colorful collection of bizarre animal characters.
