René Dupéré has been associated with Cirque du Soleil since its earliest productions. His lyrical music for Nouvelle Expérience, Cirque Réinventé, Saltimbanco, Mystère and Alegría played a key role in putting Cirque on the map. Dupéré says working for Cirque is quite different from other situations: "You work for months alone, and after that you're working with 125 people. It's a work of loneliness, trying to find a color, trying to find themes, but when you're finished you have 125 people to work with. That's what I like."
