Directions to site

By Car:
Amsterdam ArenA is surrounded by several highways: A1, A2, A9 and A10. On the highways, the Amsterdam Arena is clearly indicated on the blue ANWB boards under the name Transferium. Follow P2 indications to get to the Grand Chapiateau.

From the Amsterdam's ring, take exit s111.At s111, take left on Spaklerweg. Continue straight on following signs for P2. Site will be located on right.
From the A2, take exit Joan Muyskensweg, Sparklerweg, Holterbergweg, P2 and follow the Cirque du Soleil signs.

Parking:

Parking costs €10 can be purchased on the day of the show.  Cash only. Parking is provided by Parkeergebouwen.

Public transport

Train
The Grand Chapiteau is set up at P2 of the Amsterdam ArenA and within walking distance of Duivendrecht railway station (approx. 10 minutes) and Bijlmer railway station (approx. 10 minutes). Coming from Duivendrecht Station, we advise you to continue with the metro to Station Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA and from there to follow the signs to P2.

Metro
Strandvliet/ArenA metro station and Bijlmer metro station are located approx. 10 minutes' walk away from the Amsterdam Arena P2. There are regular direct services to Amstel Station and Centraal Station in Amsterdam. Metro lines 50 and 54 stop at the metro stations listed.

Bus
Travelers from the region can access the Amsterdam ArenA P2 by regional bus services 29, 158, 174, 177 and 178.

*Note: The walk to the Grand Chapiteau from the Metro/Train stations involves stairs and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.


The Grand Chapiteau (Big Top)
The Grand Chapiteau seats over 2500 spectators per show with an adjoining entrance tent. Like a Roman amphitheatre, the seats fan out for 270 degrees around a central, circular stage.

The Grand Chapiteau is a temporary structure which is supported by four masts.  All seats are cushioned with backs.  For additional seating information, please see the Price Details and Seating plan.

Duration
2 hours 20 minutes, including a 30 minute intermission.

Latecomers
The show always starts on time and latecomers are admitted only during a suitable break in the performance or at the discretion of the Head Usher.  Late coming guests with wheelchairs can only be admitted at the intermission.

 

Entrance Tent

The Entrance Tents open 1 hour prior to show time.  The Grand Chapiteau opens ½ hour before show time.

Food & Beverages
Don't forget the Popcorn! Popcorn, candies and other snacks are available for purchase inside the Entrance Tents along with a variety of beverages. 

Beer and wine available for purchase at the Food & Beverage counters for guests with proper ID.

Cash, PIN and most major credit cards are accepted at the Food & Beverage Counters.  

Official Merchandise
Supplement your style and enhance your media collection with official Cirque du Soleil merchandise available in at the Cirque Store inside the entrance tent.

Many exciting products ranging from attire, accessories, jewelry and fine art are available for purchase.

Miscellaneous

       The temperature inside the Grand Chapiteau is controlled

       There is no coat check

       Smoking is not permitted in the Grand Chapiteau and only   permitted in designated areas

       Mobile phones must be turned off during the show

       Cameras, video and tape recorders are strictly prohibited

       Facilities (Toilets) for guests with disabilities are available

       Animals are not allowed (Service animals may be permitted. Please advise the Box Office when you purchase your tickets.)
