CSI and KĄ!

Lights! Camera? KĄ

A few short months ago, KĄ made a very special exception for the producers of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation by welcoming them into their theatre—cameras and all—for the filming of CSI's upcoming season premiere.

Over 60 CSI production staff members, actors and extras invaded the theatre at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for this very special event. It took three days and almost 30 hours to film the episode—requiring up to three cameras at times to capture all the action.

The top-rated crime show will feature several KĄ artists and crew members, and the storyline will focus on the investigation of a dead body discovered in the midst of a performance. The episode will feature scenes from Battlefield and part of the KĄ set, but most of the in-depth homicide investigation will take place backstage.

For most of the CSI cast and crew, this was their first taste of life behind the scenes with Cirque du Soleil. William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger and George Eads each mentioned how impressed they were by the KĄ theatre and staff … and the entire KĄ cast and crew were equally impressed with their CSI experience.

The Fall 2006 premiere of CSI featuring KĄ will air on Thursday, September 21 on CBS.
