Working environment
Cirque du Soleil has over 3,800 employees of about 40 nationalities—nearly 1,000 of them artists—who enjoy an open, safe, creative and friendly working environment.
Cirque is an equal-opportunity employer and strives to respect the individuality and unique viewpoints of the people that make up the impressive mosaic of its workforce. In addition, in view of the nature of its operations, Cirque intends to position itself as a reference for health and safety in the entertainment industry.
To recognize the important contribution made by its employees, Cirque du Soleil offers various programs designed to encourage the arts, highlight voluntary work and promote innovative projects.
Environment
In fall 2006, Cirque du Soleil adopted a proactive environmental policy based on a sustainable-development philosophy. The policy has three main prongs: water management, air quality and management of waste and hazardous materials.
Cirque du Soleil also seeks to make employees aware of the environmental issues connected with its operations, to provide training programs to improve their technical skills in this regard and, through its actions, to promote environmental protection.
