About Us
Current Exhibition
As part of its Support for the Arts Community Program, Cirque du Soleil offers up-and-coming artists the opportunity to exhibit their work at its Montreal International Headquarters and at its Resident Show Division offices in Las Vegas. In addition to offering its employees the chance to discover new talents and to contributing to a creative workplace, Cirque du Soleil thus provides these artists with an interesting showcase.
Joseph Watson
Joseph Watson has two styles of fine art that he creates. The first is the sophisticated decor style. This is his commercially accepted art. It involves subject matter such as ocean life to delicious seafood dishes to African influenced imagery. The surface is swirled with gesso, and then painted with acrylics. The result is a rich balanced piece that would be welcome in any well designed interior.
Joseph’s second style is more “street”. This is where he targets the younger market and creates imagery such as busy urban fleamarket scenes to uncomfortable bus rides. This style is usually a mix between tight pencil sketching combined with the latest digital painting techniques to create some of the most striking scenes.
A graduate from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, Joseph is quickly establishing himself as a strong reliable force in the art field. His works will soon hit the shelves in stores such as Michael’s Arts & Crafts and Hobby Lobby. Pacifica Tile Art Studio also sells Joseph’s art on tile murals. He also generates a large volume of freelance design work from a long list of clientele.
Joseph is usually spotted walking around at the massive First Friday event in Las Vegas every month.
