A record year for shows
Close to 90 million spectators have seen a Cirque du Soleil performance since 1984. Three new resident shows were added in 2008, bringing the total number of Cirque du Soleil shows in performance to eighteen during the year:
Conversely, the curtains fell on the DELIRIUM show in London towards the end of April after completing a two-year arena tour of North America and Europe .
