Visiting a flooded area of Manila

    Location: Manila

On August 13, eight members of Saltimbanco visited one of the areas most seriously affected by flooding in Manila, in the Philippines. The visit was coordinated by the Virlanie Foundation, a non-governmental organization working with local children. The “Saltimbanques” distributed a large number of gifts: clothes, safe drinking water and food. Inspired by the resilience shown by the children, the troupe members also decided to entertain them with magic tricks and a make-up session.

    Social circus workshop

    Location: Manila

During their stay in Manila, more than 15 Saltimbanco artists shared their passion for circus arts with a dozen street children at a circus workshop day. Moved by the catastrophic flooding that had hit the city, the team also donated a truck filled with enough wood for the local community to build five houses.
