Employee Recognition
Cirque du Soleil recognizes that it owes most of its strength and success to its employees, artists and craftsmen, and the company shows its appreciation through regular events that bring the work force together, events such as the company's lavish birthday celebrations and the biannual craft fairs held at the International Headquarters.
Cirque also runs a programme known as PARADE, which is designed to encourage and support the artistic activities of employees in the visual arts, performing arts and literature. PARADE participants can benefit from mentoring or financial support and their work is circulated or exhibited at Cirque's offices.
Through the Cirquesters Do Their Part programme, Cirque du Soleil recognizes the volunteer work its employees do in the community by distributing $20,000 a year in grants to organizations where the dedication of Cirque employees is particularly significant.
Finally, in its continuing efforts to promote innovation and creativity at all levels of the company, Cirque offers an annual prize called the Talons Hauts Bursary. All employees are eligible to contribute to the company's creative pool by submitting proposals that could be implemented in creation, marketing and management or any of the company's other activities.
