EXPO 2010

OFFICIAL WEBSITE

As part of the 2010 World Expo that is held in Shanghai, China, from May 1 to October 31, 2010, Cirque du Soleil is proud to have designed the creative concept of the Canada Pavilion.

Under the theme chosen by Canada "The Living City: Inclusive, Sustainable, Creative”, the design of the pavilion is an architectural, concrete representation, rather than a symbolic approach, of what a living city is.

In essence, this creation which takes sustainable development into account is a representation of the urban Canada and possesses all the virtues of the ideal Canadian city. Naturally, the Canada Pavilion is also first and foremost, a creative space.

This is why Cirque du Soleil also created the public presentation and produced the cultural program of the pavilion. Thus, the Cultural Program includes works and productions in fields as varied as dance, music, theatre, literature, visual arts and media arts. To reflect the dynamic nature of Canadian culture, Cirque du Soleil has invited emerging and renowned artists and creators from across the country to take part in this Cultural Program.

Cirque du Soleil welcomes the world to discover this one of a kind architectural and cultural creation
