Becoming a Cirque du Soleil artist represents a major challenge. Supported by a team of specialized coaches, candidates will learn to develop their artistic side or hone their talents.
To make the transition easier, artists in training take part in immersion workshops covering topics such as creative improvisation, acting, vocals and rhythm. These workshops put them in performance situations and give them a taste of what it's like to be part of a show.
Following immersion, candidates take part in technical classes where they pick up basic skills or further their talents in disciplines like dancing and acting. Skills like these are the foundations for the creativity that is so essential in the life of a Cirque du Soleil performer.
Candidates' artistic skills are transferred directly to the acrobatic environment through a process focussing on exploration and creativity. Acrobatic and artistic coaches work together to make the integration as easy as possible.
