A member of France’s trampoline team for 10 years, Hubert was two-time national champion in all categories, world vice-champion in the synchronized event with Lionel Pioline, and junior world champion. He discovered the world of circus arts while attending Rio’s circus arts university in 1997. Before starting up his own circus and acrobatics school (Central de Santa), Hubert was busy setting up the first bungee trampolines and trampoline cages on the beaches and in the squares of Rio de Janeiro, creating his own group (Os Aeroloucos), putting on comedic trampoline shows in Brazil and working with Brazilian troupes Irmãos Brothers and Intrépida Trupe. After working as a Casting partner for Cirque in Brazil for two years, he decided to trade in the Carioca palms for Quebec’s maple trees.
