Krista started her career with Cirque du Soleil as Artistic Coordinator and Artistic Director of the show “O" in Las Vegas . Before coming to Cirque, she was a busy director, choreographer, producer and collaborator. She has had the honor of working in many of the art and entertainment industry’s many mediums including video, live theatre, dance, education and corporate entertainment.

A native Canadian, Krista choreographed more than 40 musicals for professional and young performers throughout Canada and in the Los Angeles area for which she was awarded two Elizabeth Sterling Haynes awards in the area of Outstanding Choreography. Krista also acted as choreographer for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 2001 IAAF World Championships in Athletics - the third largest sporting event in the world. Krista conceived and created the rhythm fusion show RhythMatix which performed for childrens’ festivals, concert halls and auditoriums throughout Canada and the United States including commissions with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

As an educator, Krista was the modern jazz and theatre dance instructor at Grant MacEwan College ’s Theatre Arts Department in Edmonton . She also designed and taught the tap program at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). While living in Los Angeles , she performed with the Mark Goodman Tap Company in Los Angeles and taught at Millennium Dance Complex in Hollywood , California.
