Having written a master’s thesis on the management of athletic and cultural organizations (Université de Paris X, 2000) titled: Le cirque en France et ses perspectives d’avenir (the future of circus arts in France), speaks a great deal to Magalie’s long-time infatuation with circus arts. Seventeen years of gymnastics training, several outdoor hobbies (trekking, cycling, skiing, etc.), experience working as a coordinator, leader, and teacher of athletics, in addition to training the teachers for the Brevet d’État d’éducateur sportif (a professional diploma to teach athletics) combine to make Magalie an accomplished athlete. Her experience as a project manager and instructor in a school of circus arts only fuelled her passion for youth, sports and circus arts. Magalie has also danced with the Parisian company Tresessis. In 2004, she joined the Casting team as a Coordinator-Researcher. Now a Talent Scout for Cirque, her curiosity has her exploring other specialties such as martial arts, extreme sports and new, emerging disciplines.
