Global remuneration

We do our best to ensure our artists are given a very competitive salary, a safe work environment and support for their health and well-being. On top of that, we offer our artists the following benefits:

On all our shows:

  • Seniority lump sum
  • Discretionary performance bonus based on the organization’s profits and the individual’s contribution
  • Four complimentary tickets per year to any Cirque du Soleil show (excluding arena and theater touring shows)
  • Ten reduced-price tickets to Cirque du Soleil touring shows
  • Discounts on Cirque du Soleil merchandise


On our Big Top touring shows:

  • Tour allowance and cost-of-living adjustment
  • An average of two weeks of vacation per year during down periods
  • Return transportation home once a year during down periods
  • Ten statutory holidays
  • Lodging and transportation between cities
  • Lodging either in the form of a private room at a hotel or in shared accommodation, except for artists who have children travelling with them full time; artists living with at least one accompanying child under 18 years of age will not be required to share their lodging unit with another artist or employee
  • Schooling for artists’ children
  • Medical, dental, disability and life insurance coverage
  • Bank of sick days
  • Educational assistance program for continuing education (other than ESL)
  • Full kitchen with choice of meals five to six days a week


On our arena touring shows:

  • Tour allowance and cost-of-living adjustment

On our resident shows:

  • Typically, three extended dark periods of nine days or more
