  • Jamie King

    Writer and Director

    Jamie King is the leading concert director in the world of pop music today and Michael Jackson ONE is King's second show with Cirque du Soleil, having served as writer & director of the Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour. In 2011, Variety published a special tribute celebrating King's career as "Billion Dollar Show Director" highlighting the nineteen pop music tours he has choreographed and directed and his overall impact on the global music industry. Variety previously named King as one of the most influential “movers and shakers” in the music industry, having created some of the highest grossing concert tours of all time. In 2012, King was executive producer and star of the hit Latin talent reality series (and Las Vegas live show) Q'Viva! The Chosen in partnership with Jennifer Lopez, Mark Anthony and Simon Fuller. For the past sixteen years, King has worked as Madonna's creative director, overseeing her 2012 Superbowl Halftime Show and serving as creative producer of the MDNA world tour. King previously directed Madonna's Sticky & Sweet, Confessions, Re-Invention and Drowned World tours and directed her hit music video Sorry. Other King directed tours include Rihanna (Loud; Last Girl On Earth), Britney Spears (Femme Fatal; Circus; Oops I Did It Again), Celine Dion (Taking Chances), Ricky Martin (Black and White; La Vida Loca), Christina Aguilera (Back to Basics; Stripped), Avril Lavigne (Best Damn) and The Return of the Spice Girls.   • Chantal Tremblay

    Director of Creation

    At the end of the 1980s, while living in New York pursuing a career in dance, Chantal Tremblay decides to join Cirque du Soleil after having seen one the company’s shows. Chantal started out as a dancer on a Cirque project and then became choreographer Debra Brown’s assistant on the creation of Mystère. Before KURIOS –Cabinet of Curiosities Chantal has worked on many Cirque projects including the shows Alegría, La Nouba and Mystère for which she once was the Artistic Director. In 2006, she becomes the Director of Creation for The Beatles LOVE, followed by OVO in 2009, Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour in 2011.

  • Kevin Antunes

    Musical Designer

    Kevin Antunes is a musical designer, musical director, keyboardist and digital audio programmer. His most recent tour was working directly for Madonna on her record breaking  MDNA world tour. Kevin was the Musical Designer and performed on stage with Madonna at the 2012 SuperBowl Halftime show. This is his second tour with Madonna with the first being the Sticky & Sweet World Tour – the top selling solo artist tour of all time. Kevin produced the stereo and surround sound audio mix for the live stadium concert from Argentina released on DVD in 2010. He also worked directly with Rihanna as her Musical Designer for her 2011 Loud World Tour with a 2013 scheduled DVD release date. This culminated in a 2012 Grammy Award performance featuring Rihanna and Coldplay. Kevin has also worked with Justin Timberlake for the since 1998 starting with *NSYNC, which then transitioned into Justin's solo career. The stereo and surround sound audio of Justin’s HBO Live Concert Broadcast of his FutureSex/LoveSounds (which was released on DVD) was also mixed by Kevin. Throughout his career Kevin has performed with Janet Jackson, Timbaland, Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg, Christina Aguilera, Lady Antebellum, P Diddy, Pharrell Williams, Enrique Iglesias, Backstreet Boys, Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch, and the New Kids on the Block, among others.   • Carla Kama

    Associate Show Director

    Over the last twenty years, Carla has worked in all facets of the entertainment industry as a performer as well as a choreographer, director and producer. Carla was the sixth member of the original “Fly Girls” on the Emmy-winning television series In Living Color. She was also a founding member and associate choreographer for The Pussycat Dolls. Carla worked with Jamie King, as supervising choreographer for Britney Spears Circus World Tour, and as associate show director for Q’Viva Live featuring Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Rihanna Loud World Tour and The Last Girl On Earth World Tour, as well as The Spice Girls The Return of The Spice Girls World Tour, Avril Lavigne Best Damn Tour World Tour, and Korean pop star, RAIN Rain’s Coming World Tour. Carla has showcased her choreography and musical staging talents in projects for Prince, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Jane’s Addiction, Carmen Electra, Kid Rock, & ZZ Top. Her choreography can be seen in the sexy burlesque scenes in HBO’s Carnivale, Carmen Electra’s Aerobic Striptease and The Young & the Restless. Carla’s choreography credits also include the musical staging and sizzling dance work in Las Vegas Mandalay Bay's STORM. She has also worked in the musical theater world, choreographing the European touring productions of Grease and HAIR 'The Musical'. Michael Jackson ONE is Carla’s second collaboration with Cirque du Soleil after Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.

    Musical Director

    Greg Phillinganes is one of the world’s most prolific keyboard artists. A Detroit native and music veteran for 35 years, he began his career in 1975 with Stevie Wonder as part of his band, Wonderlove. Phillinganes went on to record, perform, tour and or write with Grammy winning artists such as Quincy Jones, Alicia Keys, Smokey Robinson, Eric Clapton, Ne-Yo, Barbra Streisand, Rod Stewart, Anita Baker, Paul Simon, Herbie Hancock, George Harrison, Ray Charles, Mick Jagger, Babyface, Andrea Bocelli, Natalie Cole, John Legend, Willie Nelson, Chaka Khan, David Foster, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, John Mayer, Usher, Santana, Diana Ross, Burt Bacharach and Elton John. In addition to being the music director for Lionel Richie’s first solo tour, as well as Michael Jackson’s Bad and Dangerous tours, Greg served as music director for Michael’s 30th Anniversary Special at Madison Square Garden, Quincy Jones’ VIBE TV show, The 60th EMMY Awards and the first Annual GRAMMY Nominations Live Concert, as well as special events including the 1999 Super Bowl Halftime show featuring Stevie Wonder. A GRAMMY nominee himself, Greg has been a cornerstone in hundreds of GRAMMY Award winning & nominated albums, including Stevie Wonder’s Songs In The Key Of Life and Michael Jackson’s Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, Invincible, and the latest Michael Jackson release Michael. Greg is working with Cirque du Soleil for the first time with Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.

  • Mark Fisher

    Set Designer

    British architect Mark Fisher’s interest in building temporary structures and inflatables caught the attention of Roger Waters and led to his first rock ’n’ roll commission for Pink Floyd’s Animals tour in 1977. Mark has since earned an international reputation for his spectacular concert designs. His best-known work includes The Wall and Division Bell for Pink Floyd, Steel Wheels, Bridges to Babylon and Bigger Bang for the Rolling Stones, as well as Popmart for U2. Most recently Mark was Chief Designer for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics and U2’s 2009-2010 360° tour.  Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour will be Mark Fisher’s third collaboration with Cirque du Soleil following KÀ and Viva ELVIS.

  • Michael Curry

    Props and Scenic Designer

    Puppet Designer Michael Curry works widely in both conceptual and technical development with the foremost entertainment companies such as the Metropolitan Opera, London's Royal National Theatre, Disney Theatrical Productions, LA Opera, and Universal Pictures. Michael has been the recipient of many prestigious awards from his peers, including several awards for his puppet and costume work on Broadway, Olympic ceremonies as well as his continuing innovations in the fields of visual effects and puppetry design. He has collaborated with Julie Taymor on many stage and opera productions. Among his numerous awards, he received the 1998 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Puppet Design in recognition of his work for Taymor on The Lion King. Michael’s other credits include an opera directed by Robert Lepage at the Paris Opera, an opera at La Scala, Milan, directed by William Friedkin, and the Broadway production of Spider Man with music by Bono and Edge, directed by Julie Taymor. After KÀ, The Beatles LOVE, Wintuk and CRISS ANGEL Believe, Michael Curry collaborates with Cirque du Soleil for the fifth time with Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.

    Zaldy is one of New York’s most celebrated and innovative designers.  Since 2001 he has created custom looks for entertainment icons such as Michael Jackson, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J Blige, Will I. Am, Rufus Wainwright, Scissor Sisters, Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, Halle Berry, Parker Posey, Gabourey Sidebe, and Mick Jagger among others. In 2009 Zaldy was named head designer for Michael Jackson’s This Is It concert series as well as Lady Gaga’s first North American Monster Ball Tour. He was the man behind Gwen Stefani’s label L.A.M.B. collaborating with Stefani for nearly four years while maintaining his namesake label. Michael Jackson ONE is his second collaboration with Cirque du Soleil since Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.

  • Germain Guillemot

    Acrobatic Performance Designer

    Germain Guillemot began attending circus schools at the age of 11 and completed his studies eight years later at the Centre national des arts du cirque de Châlon-en-Champagne in France. After touring with various circus companies including Cirque Archaos, he created the French circus company Les Arts Sauts with other circus fellows where he worked both as a creator and performer for 15 years. Germain joined Cirque du Soleil in 2007 as a coach for the flying trapeze act on ZED and then became Acrobatic Training Manager for Viva ELVIS. KURIOS – Cabinet of curiosities is Germain Guillemot’s third collaboration with Cirque du Soleil as Acrobatic Performance Designer after Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour and Michael Jackson ONE.

  • Scott Osgood

    Acrobatic Equipment and Rigging Designer

    Scott started his career as an acrobat as part of the Sailor Circus program in Sarasota, California. His disciplines included ladder, teeterboard, clowning and juggling. Scott picked up his knowledge of acrobatic equipment and rigging design from veterans in the business. He worked in the worlds of theatre and rock music, where his rigging expertise was in demand. At the same time, he continued to work around the world as a performer, appearing with many circus companies including the Ringling Brothers, and Barnum and Bailey. He also worked as an acrobat in theme parks including Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Scott’s first assignment with Cirque du Soleil came when the Cirque show La Nouba was being created in 1997. He worked on the rigging design for that production. ZED was Scott Osgood’s first mandate with Cirque du Soleil as Acrobatic Equipment and Rigging Designer, Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour is his second.

  • Olivier Goulet

    Projection Designer

    Active in the field of video design since 2001, Quebec producer, stage and video content designer Olivier Goulet specializes in video stage design. Since 2007, he has designed and produced video content for many productions and artists including Maria Carey, Alicia Keys, Joe Cocker, Michael Bublé, Tina Turner, Pink, the shows of Cher and Bette Midler at Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas, as well as the production Paradis Perdu in Montreal. Olivier is the President of the Montreal-based video stage design company Geodezik, which collaborated with Cirque du Soleil on the shows DELIRIUM and ZAIA. Other Quebec (Gilles Maheu, O Vertigo Danse) and American (Linkin Park and The Killers, Justin Timberlake) artists turned to Geodezik to enhance their show through video imagery. Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour is Olivier’s latest collaboration with Cirque du Soleil.

  • Martin Labrecque

    Lighting Designer

    Martin Labrecque’s professional credits include more than 140 theatrical productions, as well as circus shows. Martin contributed to the critical success of several Quebec shows. He has won many Quebec awards for his lighting design in addition to several nominations. Martin Labrecque created the lighting for two critically acclaimed circus shows produced by Cirque Éloize, Rain and Nomade, as well as Cirque du Soleil shows Corteo, KOOZA, Viva ELVIS and Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour before KURIOS – Cabinet of curiosities. In 2009, Martin designed the lighting for an eleven-hour show by Canadian author, director and actor Wajdi Mouawad, which was presented in the courtyard of the Palais des Papes in Avignon, France. He also worked on the show Paradis Perdu, directed by Dominic Champagne and presented in Montreal and Belles Soeurs (2011) directed by René Richard Cyr.

    Sound Designer

    For nearly 25 years, François Desjardins has devoted himself entirely to enhancing sound environments in the music world. As a sound designer, he creates soundscapes that are tailored to each artist’s expectations. Since 1992, François has toured with Céline Dion on all her live shows, He has also worked with several Canadian and foreign artists including Garou, Roch Voisine, Tragically Hip, Tom Cochrane and Pavarotti. As a crew chief, he has installed, maintained and operated the most sophisticated sound systems available in the industry. François also participated in a large number of events as Head Sound Technician of Solotech (Montreal) and Chief Technical Advisor of Solotech (United States). He was sound designer during the World Youth Day in Toronto in 2002 (Papal visit) and for the re-staging of Cirque du Soleil’s Saltimbanco. Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour is his second collaboration as Sound Designer with Cirque du Soleil.

    Choreographer

    Twice Emmy-nominated choreographer, director, and producer Travis Payne is an acknowledged innovator of screen, stage, and song. Born and raised in Atlanta, Payne’s work encompasses some of the most influential visual and musical moments of contemporary pop culture, created for and performed by global entertainment icons from Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Shakira, and Usher to Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, The Pussycat Dolls’, Nicole Scherzinger, and Madonna. Payne was a collaborator on and off for more than 15 years with the late Michael Jackson. He served as associate director and co-choreographer with Michael as he prepared for his series of sold-out shows in London in July 2009 and was the associate producer on the award winning film, Michael Jackson’s This Is It, documenting those rehearsals. Payne began his career as a dancer on Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814 World Tour and was soon choreographing for Jackson and En Vogue as well as Madonna, Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Paula Abdul, Faith Hill, and Ricky Martin. In addition to his Emmy Awards, Payne is a two-time recipient of the Music Video Producers Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography, an Obie Award winner, and a four-time winner of the MTV Video Music Award for Best Choreography. Michael Jackson ONE is his second collaboration with Cirque du Soleil after Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.

  • Rich and Tone Talauega

    Choreographer

    Rich + Tone Talauega are two of the most sought after creative directors, choreographers, producers, and directors in today’s film, music, TV and commercial industries. As teenagers, Rich + Tone were discovered by Michael Jackson's choreographer while free-styling at a club in Oakland, California. Within months of moving to Los Angeles, Rich + Tone toured with both Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. They continued to work with Michael over the years on various projects and were the choreographers chosen to work on the short film for “Hollywood Tonight” from the posthumous Michael Jackson album, Michael. Rich + Tone have proven themselves as world class choreographers, having multiple MTV Award nominations, as well as an Emmy nomination for Best Choreography. The two are renowned for their diversified abilities and unique style. Their elite echelon of clients includes Madonna, Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, and Christina Aguilera to name a few. Rich + Tone have also choreographed for multiple motion pictures, which include Step Up 3D, StreetDance Together and Take the Lead. As Producers they brought light to the dance form Krumping in the critically-acclaimed documentary Rize. They were also co-directors and choreographers for Madonna’s MDNA Tour, and were Executive Producers and choreographers for the upcoming Screen Gems feature Battle of The Year: The Dream Team. Now with an established production company they are actively taking on new projects and broadening their horizons. After their collaboration on Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour, Rich + Tone will be part of a Cirque du Soleil production for the second time with Michael Jackson ONE.

  • Debra Brown

    Acrobatic Choreographer

    Debra Brown is world renowned for her unique choreographies blending acrobatics and dance. She joined Cirque du Soleil in 1987 as a choreographer for We Reinvent the Circus and went on to choreograph the shows Nouvelle Expérience, Saltimbanco, Alegría, Mystère, Quidam, “O”, La Nouba, Corteo, one act in Zumanity, ZED, Zarkana, Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour and Amaluna. She has also worked with artists and groups from a wide variety of disciplines including the 1990 Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain (Paris), the John Corigliano’s opera The Ghosts of Versailles, presented at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and Wagner’s Ring Cycle, put on by the Lyric Opera of Chicago. In 1994, Debra created and produced Apogée, a 50-minute trampoline-based ballet which premiered in Toronto and was also presented in both Los Angeles and San Francisco at “Passport ’96,” an AIDS benefit hosted by Elizabeth Taylor and Magic Johnson. In 1995, she worked with Luciano Pavarotti on the Metropolitan Opera’s production of La Fille du Régiment (The Daughter of the Regiment) in New York. Debra also choreographed Aerosmith’s Jaded video and energetic performance for the American Music Awards in 2001, as well as Madonna’s Drowned world tour. Debra has worked with major musical acts such as Shakira, Wyclef Jean, Céline Dion and Madonna. Her film work includes Catwoman, Van Helsing and Barney’s Great Adventure. She received the Innovative Choreography Award in honour of her exceptional contribution to choreography and dance at the 14th Bob Fosse Awards in Los Angeles in 1997. In 2002, she received an Emmy Award for her choreography of an act created by Cirque du Soleil for the Academy Awards.

  • Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo

    Choreographers

    Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo have contributed their choreography and directing talents to every genre of the entertainment industry. They have been featured choreographers for multiple seasons on the hit TV show So You Think You Can Dance, for which they received an Emmy nomination. They were the Supervising Choreographers of America’s Best Dance Crew on MTV for multiple seasons and directed the live US tour. Their work can also be seen on American Idol, the FOX show Mobbed, as well as the feature film Cobu. Other credits include Christina Aguilera’s Back to Basics Tour, Céline Dion’s Taking Chances Tour, as well as the 2009 Emmy Awards and the season premiere of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.  They have also worked with such artists as Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin and Carrie Underwood. The Dumos travel the globe as master teacher for the dance conventions, Monsters of Hip Hop, Shock and Coastal Dance Rage, teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers. They are contributing choreographers for Cirque du Soleil’s Viva Elvis and have been invited back for Michael Jackson - THE IMMORTAL World Tour.

    Choreographer

    Jamal Sims has an impressive list of credits as artistic director and choreographer in many areas including film, television, music videos, tours and live shows. He has worked with Britney Spears (Circus tour), Madonna (Sticky and Sweet tour), the Spice Girls and Céline Dion, among others. In film and television, Jamal has collaborated on productions that include Step Up, Step Up 2 the Streets and Step Up 3D, Dancing with the Stars (Miley Cyrus), Dancing with the Stars – Macy’s Stars of Dance, Hannah Montana, Get Smart, Hairspray, Footloose (2011 release) and the 82nd and 83rd Annual Academy Awards. He has also directed and choreographed one episode of the Web series LXD and has contributed his talent to music videos for Austin Brown, John Travolta, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez and many more. Jamal is working on a Cirque du Soleil show for the first time with Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.

    Choreographer

    Internationally renowned dancer, choreographer, actor, and director Daniel “Cloud“ Campos is one of the industry’s top artists. A master of the art of movement, Daniel’s ability to transcend space and time with his effortless prowess has made his work both captivating and unique. A Florida native, Daniel began his early dance career as member of the Al Fuentes High Voltage Extreme Acrobatic Dance Team. Recognized for his work with Madonna (The Re-Invention Tour, Confessions Tour, Live 8 and Live Earth), Daniel  has worked with several  high profile artists such as Shakira, Mariah Carey, Paulina Rubio, Jennifer Lopez, and Chris Brown. He has numerous film and television credits including Step Up 3D directed by John Chu, Grace starring Debbie Allen, Bolden! starring Jackie Earl Haley and Anthony Mackie, and The Muppets starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams.  Commercial and print credits include works for several national campaigns. He is also a member of the world famous dance crew Skills Methodz.  As a director, Daniel has made his mark as a rising talent. He has directed and co-directed several short films including the awardwinning short Heaven Awaits (2005 Filmerica Challenge: Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Audio,  Best  Editing, Best Horror Film, and the 2005 Grand Prize). Michael Jackson – THE IMMORTAL World Tour is Daniel’s first collaboration with Cirque du Soleil.

    Choreographer

    Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Tamara Levinson is one of the highest-ranked American rhythmic gymnasts in history. Although her competitive career was relatively short, she influenced a generation of up-and-coming U.S. performers. Levinson then transferred her dance skills to the New York theatre scene, where she has performed in many different shows including the popular off-Broadway productions Fuerzabruta and De La Guarda. She has also danced for several famous hip-hop musicians. Her credits include Madonna (DrownedConfessions and Re-Invention world tours), Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne. She was recently inducted into the USA GYMNASTICS hall of fame. Michael Jackson – THE IMMORTAL World Tour is her first collaboration with Cirque du Soleil.

Mandy also directed and choreographed a crowd-pleasing theater production of The Wedding Singer and she continues to teach in Los Angeles at Edge Performing Arts Center and internationally for the JUMP dance convention, private studios and independent performers. Mandy Moore is choreographing for Cirque du Soleil for the first time on Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.

  • Florence Cornet

    Makeup Designer

    Florence Cornet has been exploring ways to connect with the public through her makeup designs for over twenty-five years. In addition to having worked on numerous theatre, dance, opera and musical productions, her impressive résumé also includes costume, artistic direction and puppetry work, as she has been involved with over 200 productions in the course of her career. Her work has been featured in productions at some of Quebec’s leading venues, including Théâtre Petit à Petit, Théâtre du Trident, Théâtre de la Licorne and Théâtre du Nouveau Monde. She teaches make-up techniques in theatre and circus schools and has spent several years working in film and television. She has worked with renowned Quebec directors such as Serge Denoncourt, Dominic Champagne, Claude Poissant, Wajdi Mouawad, Denise Guilbault, Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon, as well as Robert Lepage. In 2000, she was nominated for a Gémeaux Award for best make-up for Bernar Hébert’s film Une âme immortelle. After Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour, Florence Cornet is designing the make-up for her second Cirque du Soleil show following KOOZA.
