A jewelry fantasy in 20 works of art

Inspiria

INSPIRIA is about two universes intertwining. It is about contrasts between two characters that capture their passion for marvelous things in daring deed. And it is brimming with light.

Cirque du Soleil and Maison Boucheron - or, more specifically, Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté and Boucheron President Jean-Christophe Bedos - fancied the idea of celebrating 25 years of stunning shows and breakthrough experiences with a collection of bold fine jewelry.

Marking the 150th anniversary of the House of Boucheron jewellery store, this collection is an exceptional accomplishment. It comprises 20 different high-jewellery designs, of which just two copies of each will be made, celebrating 20 of the most beautiful shows created by
Cirque du Soleil.

Poetic and rebellious, the Inspiria choreography of shapes and colours highlights the magic of emotions and explores new artistic avenues, in keeping with the great House of Boucheron tradition.

EXPOSITION

Lovers of magical, intricate designs will have the opportunity to discover this prestigious collection at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts from April 1 to August 29, 2010. The exhibition will brilliantly wrap up the celebrations for the first 25 years of Cirque du Soleil.

The second pieces will be put up for sale on the art market. For more information about acquiring items from this collection, please contact the House of Boucheron:

ONE DROP

Boucheron has chosen to support ONE DROP, which is why a percentage of sales proceeds will go towards the foundation and its aim to ensure access to clean drinking water to everyone at all times.

Exhibition at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

Musee des Beaux-arts de Montreal

April 1 to August 29, 2010

The 20 gemstone necklaces in the Inspiria collection-each inspired by a Cirque du Soleil show and made by the craftspeople of France's House of Boucheron-will be featured in an exclusive show at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, from April 1 to August 29, 2010.

According to Nathalie Bondil, the Museum's Director, "As for haute couture, which receives a lot of media coverage but is rarely accessible, the world of high jewellery is shrouded in mystery. Visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at a creative world where craftspeople perpetuate secular knowledge via such projects." The exhibition of these necklaces-set with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and other gems composing true symphonies of colours and shapes-provides a rare opportunity to discover the creative process of making high jewellery. It will be accompanied by the original artwork used for the execution of each piece and explanations on the iconographic sources and techniques applied.

Visit the Museum of Fine Arts website for more information.

INSPIRIA supports ONE DROP

One Drop

Boucheron has chosen to remit a percentage of the sales generated by the Inspiria collection to ONE DROP, an initiative of Guy Laliberté, Founder of Cirque du Soleil. Created in 2007, the mission of ONE DROP is to fight poverty by providing access to water and by raising everyone's awareness about water issues through its unique approach based on popular education and social art.

ONE DROP is grateful to be supported by a company whose business practices adhere to a code of conduct based on the observance of human rights. By choosing to act in accordance with the Kimberley Process, Boucheron has made sure its diamonds do not serve to finance armed conflict.
