The Making Of
Production Diary - The Team Behind the Show

We are heading into such an exciting time! Since joining the project last June, I have had the amazing opportunity to see the theatre go from dirt floors and no back wall to the finished, amazing space that so many people (over 500 at last count) helped create.
I have watched the scenery, costumes and props go from rough pencil sketches to fully formed, three dimensional works of art. Since the first day of rehearsal in Montreal on September 6, 2005, the cast—hired as separate acrobats, dancers and characters—has trained, rehearsed, and now come together as artists.
The two large groups of people which make up the creation/production team and the operations team began work in January as strangers, but through communication, long hours, a few arguments and much laughter, they are now one LOVE team.
As much as I look forward to the preview opening on June 2, I will be a little sad as well, because it will mark the beginning of the end of the creation period and the upcoming departure of so much of our team. As the show matures and grows over time, I want all the members of the creation and production teams to know that we will always remember their invaluable contributions to LOVE.
