About the album
TRIBAL HEARTBEATS FROM THE WORLD’S FOUR CORNERS
Indigenous influences and vocal rhythms are brought together in TOTEM through the imagination of two new Cirque du Soleil composers, Bob & Bill (Guy Dubuc and Marc Lessard). Intersecting cultures and genres, the duo worked closely with the stage artists to provide each acrobatic act with its own respiration and energy. The result tells the story of humanity by weaving together native music and instruments from around the world, ranging from North America’s First Nations, Spanish flamenco, to the sounds of the Indian subcontinent.

Not all the elements you have come to expect in a Cirque but a super good show. Beautiful, fun, exciting and spectacular! Just amazing -- as always. Super talented cast!!

TOTEM is such an amazing show and the music, as with all cirque shows, is absolutely incredible. I have the soundtrack and find myself transporting back into the world of TOTEM each time I listen to it. I love remembering the performers and the stunning things they can do.

This show was different then i expected it to be. It was more or less not Cirquey but i liked it anyway. In fact when Ome Kayo Kanobe started playing it took all my willpower not to sing along!!!

I just saw this show for the first time last night and I was saying that there should be an album for the music that was performed by the band. Great Show! I will be back next year!

I had the wonderful opportunity to work as a Janitor for the show in San Diego, I can say that has been the best job of my life because on a daily basis I got to interact with the performers while they practiced, when they were just lounging around, or getting dressed for the show. Such wonderful people to be around, the energy from these people is absolutly ausome. Then I went to see the show and I was blown away with what I got to experience. I suggest that any and everyone see the show!
