About the album
TRIBAL HEARTBEATS FROM THE WORLD’S FOUR CORNERS
Indigenous influences and vocal rhythms are brought together in TOTEM through the imagination of two new Cirque du Soleil composers, Bob & Bill (Guy Dubuc and Marc Lessard). Intersecting cultures and genres, the duo worked closely with the stage artists to provide each acrobatic act with its own respiration and energy. The result tells the story of humanity by weaving together native music and instruments from around the world, ranging from North America’s First Nations, Spanish flamenco, to the sounds of the Indian subcontinent.

I had the wonderful opportunity to work as a Janitor for the show in San Diego, I can say that has been the best job of my life because on a daily basis I got to interact with the performers while they practiced, when they were just lounging around, or getting dressed for the show. Such wonderful people to be around, the energy from these people is absolutly ausome. Then I went to see the show and I was blown away with what I got to experience. I suggest that any and everyone see the show!

My partner treated me to Totem and Tapis Rouge in Montreal this past weekend. It was great to be at the opening week of such an amazing show. Huge fan forever of all your productions. This was my first time under the tent. Loved it. Great story and super talented cast.

Does anyone know how long the show is? For example, is it a three hour show, two and a half?? Thanks
