Public transport
The closest underground stations are South Kensington (District, Circle and Piccadilly lines), and High Street Kensington (District and Circle lines). Both are about a 10-minute walk from the Royal Albert Hall, and signs are posted.

Buses numbers 9, 10, and 52 stop outside the Hall.

Number 9 between Hammersmith and Aldwych via Piccadilly and Charring Cross

Parking
Strict parking controls are in effect in the vicinity. The Royal Albert Hall offers limited car parking from 6:00 p.m. only for patrons attending evening concerts. Spaces are £7.50 and must be booked in advance by calling the Box Office at 020 7589 8212. Entrance to the car park is on Prince Consort Road.

 

The Royal Albert Hall
The Royal Albert Hall, the venue for Varekai, holds up to 3,600 spectators per show and like a Roman amphitheatre, the seats fan out for 270 degrees around a central, circular stage.

Duration
2 hours 30 minutes, including a 25 minute intermission.

Latecomers
The show always starts on time and latecomers are admitted only during a suitable break in the performance. Latecomers in wheelchairs will be admitted at the intermission.

Restaurants & Bars
A wide range of food and beverages are available from the separate restaurant and the brasserie, which are both located on the Circle level, and from the wine bar on the Grand Tier level (all open two hours before each performance). Sandwiches can be purchased from the bars situated on all floors, which open 45 minutes before each performance. Meals and drinks for the intermission can be ordered before the performance. The Champagne Bar on the Grand Tier is open two hours before each performance. Merchandise
Merchandise will be available from the Door 6 porch and in the Circle at the Door 5 and 8 foyer.

Cloakrooms
Cloakrooms are situated on the ground floor at Doors 4 and 9 and in the circle at Door 8.

Theatre Etiquette
There is no smoking in the auditorium, most restaurants and certain bars. Cameras, video cameras and recording equipment are not permitted. Please ensure that all pagers and mobile phones are switched off before entering the auditorium.

Reserve Ahead
It is very important that people in wheelchairs reserve a space in the designated section because the rest of the big top is not wheelchair-accessible.

Seats & Discounts
A wheelchair-user and one escort are entitled to a 50% discount on category 2 tickets.
As seats and spaces are limited, should there be other group members, they might have to sit in the regular seating area depending on availability.
We cannot guarantee that a seat will be available near the individual with special needs.
We do not provide wheelchairs.

Please Note
Individuals holding tickets for spaces in this specially designated area should arrive at least 60 minutes prior to the performance.
Latecomers can only be accommodated during intermission.
Once you are on the site, ushers will guide you towards the appropriate doors or sections.
