TV programs Cirque du Soleil presents Corteo and KÀ EXTREME win an Emmy and two Gémaux

During the Creative Arts ceremony on September 8, the program Cirque du Soleil Presents Corteo won the Emmy Award in the category "Outstanding Picture Editing For A Special" (Editor: Sylvain Lebel).

The same program, in addition to KÀ Extreme, also won two Gémeaux awards on Sunday in Montreal in the following categories :

Meilleur montage - humour, variétés, arts de la scène (Editor : Sylvain Lebel)

KÀ Extreme
Meilleur son - documentaire, affaires publiques, biographie (Sound : Daniel Toussaint)

Cirque du Soleil presents Corteo
Produced by Productions Conte Inc., a subsidiary of Cirque du Soleil Images, the program presents the live show Corteo, which was filmed specially for television during two sold-out performances in Toronto. Innovative techniques used for the production have given the show a whole new dimension. Eleven cameras capture the essence of the extraordinary Cirque du Soleil artists and their performances.

The program has also been nominated in another Emmy category : " Outstanding Art Direction For A Variety, Music or Nonfiction Programming" (Set Designer: Jean Rabasse). Cirque du Soleil Presents Corteo has been broadcast in Canada and the United States and will soon be available worldwide.

KÀ Extreme
Produced by Productions Conte Inc., a subsidiary of Cirque du Soleil Images, this documentary unveils the creative process of KÀ by Cirque du Soleil. We discover how the creators of the show were confronted with the impossible and how they succeeded in bringing an extraordinary show to life. This documentary has been broadcast in Canada and is currently available worldwide.
