I was goingt o buy tickets to see this show in Sydney but after reading reviews sounds like they are using the Brand to produce a money making show without investing a proper story line, or enough circus acrobatic performances.
I want to go to a circus type event to see circus type of activities. If i wanted a lame love story i would go to my sisters high school performance.
Im not taking anything away from the performers of the stunts, but the collaborators obviously need to do more.

Definitely disappointed. I have been to several cirque du soleil shows and this was not my favorite. The set was not as interesting and the performances were awesome but pretty typical. Sadly I was bored more than half the time. The filler was just too slow, long and drug out. Not as fun as previous shows. I also had to share 1/3 of my seat with the severely over-weight gentleman to my left. Maybe I could get 1/3 of a refund since I only got to use 2/3 of my seat. Will check on that.

Wow! I knew that this was going to be special. Today, mothers day, my moms birthday as well, would never have been the same without this! The ants were my favorite part! Totally hot! Set design, comedy, powerful soundtrack! I have nothing but good things to say. YES the seating is comfortable. I've lived in Portland 8 years and the only thing I've been missing is a genuine experience of this caliber that inspires and reminds people what we are capable of. Terrific show! Bring it back downtown!

I can't beleive that they replaced cotorion with diablos. I have been to four cirque shows, and all of them had diablos in them. It is getting old...

That what I expected of C d' S. The most of the acrobatics were well done and there were some amazing pieces. However the trapeze artists missed several stunts and the ariel couple appeared to playing for applause rather than continuing the storyline. Lots of time was wasted with the mundane "love story" rather than exploring the world of bugs.

Ovo was good but not great. A recent performance in Portland did not live up to the level of creativity and story-line that we have come to expect from Cirque du Soleil. The performance we attended did not include the slackwire act. This was the major act promoted in Portland, therefore, we did not feel we got our money's worth.

There was nothing magical or whimsical about Ovo; what you get is a very undeveloped insect/egg theme, way too much time on the sex-crazed fly and ladybug romance/tease, and a lot of juvenile (clown) filler. Yes, there were a few lovely elements, including the glorious unfolding flowers and the wonderful singer, but all in all (and compared to other shows) Ovo is a total flop. I also was offended with the racist stereotype of the ladybug and fly: just not funny. Ovo was a disappointment.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ BRAVO!!!!It's official I'm a HUGE fan of CIRQUE DU SOLEIL!!!! Attended the OVO show and it was so AMAZING!!! My inner child came out all the while simultaneously catering to my adult love, respect and fascination for the art of dance, athleticism of acrobats, and the world of gymnastics ALL beautifully combined to create an absolutely SPECTACULAR show!!! If you considered going....DO IT!!! You will love it and its something that the whole family will enjoy!!! BRAVO!!!!

Just returned from tonight's 8:00 pm performance and I cannot stop raving about the beuty of the characters, the props and the show itself. It was enchanting and fun and helped me to find that part of me that appreciates the curious and the wonderment. We loved Ovo. Thank you for creating it!

How anyone can say Ovo's staging is plain amazes me - it includes trampolines, trapdoors, tumble-track, supports, and more. The aerial work is incredible, and masterfully linked. Music is live. The colourful and energetic finale never fails to please. All this is within the confines of the Big Top - a large tent, not the elaborate surroundings of a static, purpose-built theatre. I recommend you see these skilled performers for yourself and enjoy OVO for the fun show that it is. I certainly did!!
