The Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil announced today that the European tour of Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour™ will begin in October 2012 following the very successful North American tour, which has thrilled more than 600,000 people since the October 2011 World Premiere. This once-in-a-lifetime electrifying production combines Michael Jackson music and choreography with Cirque du Soleil creativity to give fans worldwide a unique view into the spirit, passion and heart of the artistic genius who forever transformed global pop culture. Written and directed by Jamie King, the show includes more than 60 international dancers, musicians and acrobats.

Cirque du Soleil is thrilled to announce the launch of a new creation in Montreal presented by Desjardins Group : Amaluna. Directed by Diane Paulus, a renowned theatre director from New York, Amaluna will be presented under the Grand Chapiteau on the Quays of the Old Port of Montreal as of April 19, and at the Port de Québec as of July 25.

At the core of the creative energy of all Cirque du Soleil shows are athletes, acrobats and stage artists at the pinnacle of their art. These men and women are driven by a passion to continually surpass themselves.

The Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil are proud to present tonight the World Premiere of Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour™ in Montreal at the Bell Centre. Proudly presented by Sun Life Financial, tonight’s performance is the kick-off of the world tour which will travel across North America and the rest of the world. The show was written and directed by Jamie King, the leading concert director in pop music today.

Cirque du Soleil and CIM Group present tonight the world premiere of IRIS, a new major, resident production created exclusively for the Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center, home of the Academy Awards®, on September 25. Proudly presented by Sun Life Financial, IRIS is written and directed by French stage and film director, artistic director, dancer and choreographer Philippe Decouflé.

Montreal, February 3, 2011 – SAFEWALLS is an artistic project curated by Cirque du Soleil that is bringing time-honoured circus posters into the 21st century by pairing up with renowned international street art and lowbrow artists (lowbrow is an artistic movement that uses the graphic codes of popular genres such as comics, advertising, graffiti and anything not considered fine arts). This project celebrates the roots of Cirque du Soleil —the street—as well as the creative freedom and raw energy associated with street arts.
