Blue Man Group at Universal Orlando Resort seeks a part‐time Lighting and Video
technician. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of lighting and video
experience within a theatrical or live concert setting.
The responsibilities of the Lighting and Video technician include, but are not limited to,
hand held camera operation, deck electrician, lighting operator and stage hand. The
ideal candidate should be proficient with the GrandMA 2 lighting console, hand held
camera operation, electrical circuitry, intelligent and static lighting instruments, LED wall
maintenance, signal flow, DMX, soldering, cable termination, and a basic understanding
of media servers. Candidates should also be comfortable climbing ladders, wearing a
harness, operating a Genie Lift, working in heights of up to 35 feet and lifting equipment
up to 50 lbs.
The ideal candidate must be a self‐starter who adapts well to new and unfamiliar
technologies and have an inherent curiosity and a willingness to expand their skill set.
Due to show schedules, candidate must be available to work nights, weekends, and
occasional holidays. Flexibility preferred as schedule fluctuates with the theme park
