Senior Advisor – Documentation Management Touring Infrastructure
Permanent position

Reporting to the Infrastructure Equipment Director, your tasks will be as follows:
-   Contribute to the development, implementation and follow-up of all technical documentation management tools, methods and processes for the infrastructure equipment of touring shows;
-   Contribute to the development, evolution and availability of the various electronic document management systems (EDMS) used for the technical documentation of tour infrastructure equipment, with the help of the EDMS team;
-   Help prepare and manage technical documents for infrastructure teams;
-   Contribute to the analysis of the classification structure and to the development of methods for classifying, browsing and finding information;
-   Research information and ensure follow-up on requests for the documents in question;
-   Ensure the quality control (content, language, validity, classification, model used, etc.) of technical documents and ensure adherence to standards established by a worldwide team;
-   Act as an advisor and facilitator to ensure the consistency of document management practices, processes and tools;
-   Collaborate and act as a representative to the Enterprise Document Management team, to ensure the smooth running of the technical document management systems;
-   Perform documentation needs analysis and participate in the development of new EDMS functions adapted to teams’ specific needs;
-   Participate in content analysis and migration when necessary;
-   Oversee SP and/or Vault security, as required by the company's security standards;
-   Oversee complex and multi-layered documentation structures (and many simultaneously if need be) and ensure the creation and maintenance of document classification and coding (via Cirque's CADCode);
-   Collaborate with the technical documentation advisors to improve the methods for collecting, validating and updating technical documentation;
-   Collaborate with the EDMS team for communications and change management;
-   Train team members and act as a liaison for other training given by specialists;
-   Help with the validation of tour equipment documentation during transfers between production and operations teams;
-   Protect the confidential information to which you have access;
-   Follow up occasionally on specific technology needs with the IT and Enterprise Document Management teams. 
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
-   University diploma in one of the following fields: document management, information science, stagecraft or any combination of these three areas an asset.
-   At least five years of relevant experience in information management, or in a technical field related to show production or operations, or in document management;
-   Expertise in electronic document management systems, particularly SharePoint;
-   Knowledge of technical documentation in relation to the operations of touring shows;
-   Good knowledge of solution architecture, information management and information systems;
-   Proficiency using SharePoint, MS Office suite and Adobe Acrobat;
-   Familiarity with CAD tools an asset;
-   Ability to learn new information systems;
-   Planning, organizational and need analysis skills;
-   Writing skills and insight;
-   Excellent communication skills and team spirit;
-   Excellent ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail;
-   Adaptability, flexibility and self-reliance;
-   Knowledge of Web applications (search engines and new collaborative information-sharing tools);
-   Occasional availability for user requests outside regular business hours;
-   Availability to travel on occasion;
-   Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
