Do you have the focus and dedication to learn multiple shows and travel globally all year round? Are you ready to be part of the global Cirque family and leap from tour to tour? Can you imagine taking your operating experience and being able to apply it on different systems and different shows throughout our Touring Shows Division? This is what we are looking for in our new position of Automation Globetrotter.
As an Automation Globetrotter, you will:
- Visit each of our touring shows and learn all aspects of automation operation from artistic trainings to show operation, maintenance and inspections;
- Develop a thorough knowledge of Automation Department equipment specific to each show, resulting in safe operation;
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the critical and highly used show versions;
- Provide the tour automation team with your support to allow their departure for either training, vacation, medical or unplanned coverage;
- Assist in the integration of new acts that require automation support;
- Assist the Show Support department in implementation of projects and online platforms;
- Share experiences and knowledge across the Automation Touring Community;
- Ensure that safety and working practices are followed;
- Update maintenance and inspection records within respective show platform; excel or iAuditor;
- Participate in all required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training;
- Participate in the technical trainings provided, online and in person;
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time;
- Upon returning to a tour, refresh and receive an update of all changes that have taken effect since your previous visit;
- Receive tour assignments from Montreal Headquarters.

You should have the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in Entertainment Automation;
- At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing automation control systems equipment;
- Knowledge and experience with motors, gearboxes and related tools, uses, repair, and maintenance;
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics;
- Good knowledge of AC\DC theory and electrical safety;
- Knowledge and experience on several productions;
- Knowledge and experience of Navigator software; other platforms are an asset;
- Ability to learn show operation in a short window of time.

Other requirements:
- European passport holder
- Ability to use Microsoft applications and internet;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Flexible, autonomous and team spirited;
- Ability to handle contingencies and work well under pressure;
- Ability to work at heights;
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, fluency in French is an asset;
- Experience flying performers is an asset;
- Available to tour and work internationally; 100% travel.
