PART-TIME WARDROBE SUB, CHICAGO
Our Chicago production is looking for a part-time Wardrobe Sub. The position provides regular show and rehearsal coverage on the Wardrobe Track as scheduled and may also be scheduled for work calls as needed. Part-time Wardrobe Sub is responsible for maintaining and/or repairing all elements of the show under the Wardrobe Department jurisdiction during the course of their scheduled shifts. Strong communication and theatrical wardrobe skills (basic sewing, alteration, dressing, make up application, etc.) required. All crew positions work cross-departmentally and are not solely restricted to projects within their department. The Wardrobe Sub is expected to maintain consistent availability and flexibility with scheduling and be willing and available to run more shows than usual during the holiday season (Thanksgiving thru New Year) and Matinee Season (mid-April through June).
Successful candidates will be self-motivated, innovative and enjoy working in a fast-paced and creative environment. Part-time Wardrobe Sub is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. They must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires ascending and descending stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. This is a part-time hourly position at $26/hr. Start date is ASAP.
