Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theatre is seeking a full-time Audio Supervisor. This engineer position requires extensive knowledge of live mixing, large format digital consoles, amplification, professional playback, DAW, as well as the understanding of audio and MIDI signal flow. Candidates should be highly collaborative, proactive problem solvers who are able to inspire staff while multi-tasking within a busy work environment.
Responsibilities include: interface and collaborate with performers and crew, audio crew management; scheduling; hiring; payroll; attending meetings; budgeting; troubleshooting and maintaining the entire audio system within venue; and coordination with other departments. This position would also run 6-7 shows a week on the audio track.
Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience mixing live productions within the entertainment industry to include theatrical production shows, concerts, industrial and special events. Flexibility and focus are required in our fast-paced environment. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
