Reporting to the Director – Site Operations, you will be required to:

- Maintain the quality and integrity of the entire site and all infrastructures;
- Work with International Headquarters (IHQ) to update the preventive maintenance and inspection program, as well as the infrastructure installation and operating procedures;
- Assist with setup and tear-down;
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical equipment-generators (in cooperation with the site electricians), vans, service trucks, etc.;
- Research and coordinate all equipment rentals and purchases in cooperation with the Technical Site Manager;
- Carry out all other tasks assigned by the Director – Site Operations.

Functions:

- Assist with the setup and tear-down of infrastructures, according to infrastructure installation and operating procedures governed by IHQ;
- Operate mechanical equipment and generators according to infrastructure installation and operating procedures governed by IHQ;
- Work with the Technical team to maintain the integrity of the show;
- Maintain and repair mechanical equipment and generators according to infrastructure preventive maintenance and inspection procedures governed by IHQ;
- Inform IHQ of any changes made to mechanical equipment and generators, in order to keep the preventive maintenance and inspection program, as well as the infrastructure installation and operating procedures, up to date;
- Research, negotiate and coordinate fuel delivery to site, in cooperation with the Technical Site Manager;
- Arrange the rental of mechanical equipment required for setup and tear-down, in compliance with specific requirements;
- Supervise temporary staff during setup and tear-down periods;
- Participate in show call and/or morning rounds;
- Remain on call for emergencies.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

- Secondary school vocational diploma;
- Eight to ten years' experience in a similar position;
- Class A certification card in mechanical equipment;
- Certified to drive trucks;
- Experience in diesel powered electricity generators;
- Able to drive a forklift and operate other heavy machinery;
- In-depth knowledge of generators;
- Knowledge of trailer mechanics and/or maintenance essential;
- Knowledge of control systems;
- Tour experience an asset;
- Ability to work long hours and under pressure;
- Ability to work independently and in a team;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software for Windows;
- Fluency in English; be at ease to operate within the international environment of Cirque du Soleil;
- Availability to tour full time and to work in foreign countries.
