Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Sales and the Director of PR, Resident Shows Division.

The Marketing & PR Manager will be responsible to actualize brand-genuine marketing and PR strategies that include traditional advertising, PR, media planning/production, experiential marketing, promotions and market research for the new show to maximize revenue and occupancy,  while controlling costs.  They will guide the implementation of marketing and PR strategies in Orlando and other key markets while ensuring that the Cirque du Soleil brand and its sub-brands are respected in all their functions. 

 · Implement strategy for the show’s advertising plan and promotions as well as managing communication related to that media plan and promotions.
·        Manage the brand and graphic standards for the show collateral to include addressing production/graphic issues, press checks, and remediation with vendors.
·        Manage the creation, production and implementation of all marketing materials for show including printed materials, signage, radio, TV, and outdoor advertising.
·        Monitor the effectiveness of all advertising efforts and make recommendations for revisions as necessary.  Where possible, set up metrics to receive direct feedback. 
· Plan and conduct public relations and media relations activities including handling media requests for the production; preparing/distribution of press materials (press releases, press kits, b-rolls, artist bios etc.); work in collaboration with RSD PR and PR agency on initiatives and pitches.
· Accompany artists and staff to media and public relation events/coordination of media activities on and off site.
· Facilitate communication with show teams, artists and media as needed in partnership with the Director of Public Relations.
·    Oversee 3rd party contractors, production partners and support teams to drive experiential marketing initiatives.
· Manage expectations of partners, senior management and internal departments through clear, concise communication.
· Implement partnerships with key brands that align with identified Cirque du Soleil shows to cross promote and expand the brand awareness to identify audiences.
· Initiate regular partner strategy meetings in order to develop and assess new and ongoing strategies for advertising, media planning, production, market research, PR and promotions.
· Work with partners, agencies and vendors to manage the development of annual media budgets.
· Seek input from internal marketing team, partners and agencies to develop strategies to address major occupancy declines.  From those sessions, participate in the development and presentation of a comprehensive recovery strategy.
·      Implement, track and optimize in-market initiatives to drive day-of ticket sales.
· Monitor the effectiveness of all advertising efforts and make recommendations for revisions as necessary.  Where possible, set up metrics to receive direct feedback. 
· Seek out innovative ideas for new marketing activities and potential vendors or partners to assist with increasing the visibility of RSD shows and their respective sales objectives.
·       Oversee and direct the pitching of promotions and public relations to media outlets in Las Vegas and other key U.S. feeder markets and national broadcast television.  Set and ensure media value targets are achieved.
·        Collaborate on the preparation of creative briefs to identify marketing objectives, differentiation and creative development.
·        Work with social and digital media team on content generation and fulfillment.
·        All other duties as assigned by the Director of Public Relations and the Director of Marketing & Sales,  Resident Shows Division.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
 ·       Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and/or Communications;
·       Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in entertainment marketing, advertising, or agency experience;
·       Experience in driving ticket sales and revenue preferred;
·       Experiential Marketing knowledge or experience
·       Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.);
·       Excellent written and oral communication skills;
·       Analytical skills a must
·       Must create and maintain solid business relationships both internally and externally and promote and encourage a positive and productive work environment;
·       Excellent negotiation and presentation skills; 
·       Great organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
·       Must also be able to handle ambiguity and  work under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor;  
·       Must be available to travel as required.
