As a guru of  IT, you will Report to the IT Manager for Touring Shows and Productions, based at International headquarters in Montreal while travelling between 25%-75% for up to 3 months at a time. 
 
Your responsibilities will entail:
 
- Support touring shows and production teams with incidents, requests and IT requirements;
- Travel to touring show and production locations when needed;
- Coordinate requirements for shows and productions with Cirque internal teams;
- Install and configure workstations;
- Implement and support the network;
- Ensure proper functionality and availability of the server environments;
- Manage and support printers;
- In the case of large-scale problems, act as liaison with Cirque's IT teams and service providers;
- Help diagnose and troubleshoot software issues;
- Coordination and ordering of telecom circuits for remote sites and tour shows;
- Help ensure that corporate policies regarding information technologies are applied;
- Create and maintain documentation for tools and solutions provided;
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation for major incidents.
 
We would like to meet you if you have:
 
- College-level diploma in IT or a related field;
- At least five years’ relevant experience, preferably in a touring environment;
- Must be able to travel without exceptions or limitations;
- Marked interest in customer service, with “show must go on mentality”;
- This position is not limited to working in front of a computer, the applicant must be physically capable of completing setups and teardowns in various weather conditions, including moving road cases and preparing equipment for shipping;
- Flexibility and patience with clients, tolerance for high stress situations and good team spirit; natural aptitude to being the “go to guy/girl in a team”;
- Absolute proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Skype & Teams;
- Hardware support experience (Servers, laptops, printers and peripherals);
- Hands on experience making and running network cabling (copper and fiber);
- Knowledge of Microsoft server environments, and components (AD, OU’s, SCCM…);
- Knowledge of Meraki and Cisco firewalls, routers, switches and access points (Network administration, VLAN and port modification, SSID, DHCP, TCP/IP….);
- Practical knowledge in machine virtualization;
- FortiClient VPN;
- Service Now ticketing system familiarity;
- Knowledge of cellular phone plans and basic cellular support;
- Mac IOS experience is an asset;
- POS support experience is an asset;
- Fluency in English, spoken and written, essential; fluency in French an asset;
- Solid communication skills;
- Ability to quickly adapt to unexpected situations, variable schedules and tight deadlines.
