About the show
Since its world-premiere in April of 2010, TOTEM has been acclaimed by over 1.5 million people in 4 different countries: Canada, England, The Netherlands and the United States.

Written and directed by Robert Lepage, TOTEM traces the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly. The characters evolve on a stage evoking a giant turtle, the symbol of origin for many ancient civilizations.

Inspired by many founding myths, TOTEM illustrates, through a visual and acrobatic language, the evolutionary progress of species.  Somewhere between science and legend TOTEM explores the ties that bind Man to other species, his dreams and his infinite potential.

Performance schedule
Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8pm; Thursdays through Saturdays at 4pm and 8pm; Sundays at 1pm and 5pm; and dark on Mondays. Exceptions: no 4pm performance on May 10, 11 & 17; dark on  May 22.

Cirque du Soleil gratefully acknowledges the sponsors of the TOTEM 2012 North American tour: Infiniti, CGI, XEROX, Sun Life Financial and American Express.
