ARTS, CULTURE AND CIRCUS
Dominique Fortin - Mues
At first sight, it could seem thoughtless or naïve, but Dominique Fortin’s work tells us stories about life, death, rebirth, the constantly renewing cycle, the great wheel of life. Birds and butterflies are predominant in this new series and highly evocative of these themes. They remind us that change is unavoidable. Everything comes to pass, everything transforms. It is when it tears open its chrysalis that the larva becomes a divine butterfly.
Dominique Fortin was born in Montreal in 1974. Graduated in fine arts at Cegep de Saint-Laurent in 1997 and in jewelry at École des métiers du Sud-Ouest in 2000, she is a full-time painter artist since 2003.
