Montreal – Cirque's Creative Complex
Cirque du Soleil has aspired to be an agent of change since its inception, and the decision 10 years ago to establish its creative complex in the St. Michel district of Montreal sprang from the desire to select a location where the company's presence could have the greatest possible positive influence. The choice of St. Michel, in the north of Montreal, one of the most sensitive neighbourhoods in Canada, gave us the opportunity to take actions that would have a meaningful impact in the local community. And by choosing to build our Headquarters adjoining the Saint-Michel Environmental Complex, one of the greatest
urban landfill sites in North America, Cirque is in a position to play an
active role in the major reclamation initiatives of this site.
