Club Cirque is for the ultimate Cirque du Soleil fan in search of exclusive offers, news and dedicated experiences.
Drawing Day celebrates the ancient and timeless art of drawing every year on May 16th. As a tribute to the practice of putting pen to paper, we wanted to give you a glimpse into the unbelievable and dream-like world of Drawn to Life. Drawn to Life is a show we proudly produce in collaboration with Disney, and is our love letter to those who gracefully weave their artistic visions onto the canvas with beauty and finesse.
May 8th is Mother's Day, which means it's our chance to give back to the one that packed our lunches in grade school, drove us to and from sporting events in that rickety old car, and (lovingly) grounded us when we were naughty. In celebration of Mother's Day, we asked some of our lovely performers to tell us all about their mom and how she inspired them to grow up into the sensational stars they are today.
We decided to do some digging through the Cirque du Soleil vault to see if we could find anything about Corteo that never saw the light of day in celebration of this magnificent show.
Did you know there is a familiar maze-like pattern that is painted on the Corteo stage floor? This is a reference to the same pattern found on the floor of the Chartres Cathedral, located in Chartres, France. Interspersed between these fascinating facts are inspiring quotes such as: "we start from the idea that acrobats are to humans what angels are to gods" and "falling asleep is a bit like dying every time, so the death about which we speak could also become the one we live each time we let go of reality".
World Circus Day is an internationally recognized celebration of the circus arts that has taken place every year on the third Saturday of April since its inception in 2010. Despite this event being relatively young, the circus arts have been a major entertainment source since the ancient Roman period. In fact, the term "circus" comes from the Latin word for "circle", as a nod to the circle-shaped amphitheaters in which people would perform back then.
Today's circus acts look very different from those of days past. Cirque du Soleil continues to push the boundaries of circus arts, and we humbly invite you to join us on this journey. Let us know what the circus means to you!
It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's a 30-foot tall inflatable apple smack dab in the middle of the Las Vegas strip (and we put it there)! To give you an idea of just how massive this fantastical fruit is, we've got a few fun facts to share with you. This magnificent apple weighs in at 315 pounds, took 200 hours to create, takes about 6 minutes to inflate, and is equivalent in size to about 1.5 MILLION real apples!
Mad Apple, the latest and greatest Cirque du Soleil show celebrating the city that never sleeps, is in full swing at New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Cirque du Soleil is nothing without our sensational performers and crew. These hyper-passionate and uber-talented individuals pour every ounce of effort and heart they possess into the performances to bring you the most spectacular shows on earth, day-in and day-out. While we could go on and on about each and every one of them, today we'd like to shine a special light on a select few in celebration of Interationnal Women's Day.
One of the greatest qualities of a Cirque du Soleil show is its ability to bring people together and create lasting memories. We feel so fortunate to get to spend each and every day with the sensational women that give their heart and soul for LUZIA and Cirque du Soleil. In honor of International Women's Day and the spectacular contributions of our female team members, we're giving you a closer look at the individuals behind the curtain.

During its inception, the award was originally conceived to honor the most original and technically complex number presented during a particular festival. Since 2010, there have been 52 performances that have managed to claim the elusive prize. The most recent of which, is the hoop duo of Alexey Grigorov and Marina Grlavatskikh hailing from Ukraine, who received it for their performance at the Budapest Circus Festival this year. Of these 52 victors, 21 artists have gone on to represent Cirque du Soleil all over the world. And who knows, maybe our next winner is reading this very newsletter right now!
