Our Chicago production is searching for a part-time crew member to join our electrics department. Show responsibilities include a detailed dimmer check and preset; running the components of a performer warm-up; running cues; monitoring onstage camera work; troubleshooting any issues; and assisting with changeover/ post show duties. Our part-time electricians will also participate in regularly scheduled focus calls and general electrics maintenance.
Successful candidates will be self-motivated, innovative and enjoy working in a fast-paced and creative environment. Extensive experience and knowledge of theatrical lighting systems and running shows is required. Must be able to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds.
This is a part-time position that is paid hourly. As a member of the part-time crew there are no guaranteed minimum hours. A flexible schedule with regular availability on nights and weekends is required. Candidate must be available to work during the holidays (Thanksgiving through New Year’s) and weekday-day time during matinee season (March-June).
