Incremental Project - Associate Company/Technical Manager – O

The Associate Company/Technical Manager – O (ACM/TM) is a hybrid position established as part of the 2020 O Incremental project (to remain in effect while O performing seven days per week), reporting the the Sr. Company Manager - O. The ACM/TM – O, will perform the roles for both the ACM and/or TM on their respective days off. The ACM/TM will lead various initiatives, supporting multiple teams in establishing and maintaining the safe and consistent operations of various production elements through budget tracking and oversight; and will coordinate with the Sr CM, ACM, Sr. OPM, Technical Manager and other department supervisors as needed to facilitate the performances and rehearsals during the production period.
·         Represent Sr. Company Manager / Sr. Operations Manager in their absence;
·         Maintain a flexible work schedule, including show performance hours;
·         Attend and Chair Operations Meetings when required;
·         Facilitate nightly show operations; liaise with Front of House staff; provide oversight of technical departments;
·         Develop, manage, and lead special projects as needed;
·         Participate in hiring, on-boarding, and performance management as needed;
·         Manage the Le Grande Experience with Marketing Manager.

In collaboration with the current Associate Company Manager, this individual will:
·         Maintain Crisis Communication Plan, participate in emergency planning and communication and, in the event of an emergency/crisis, take active role as assigned by Sr. Company Manager;
·         Manage Reception and Office including Runner operations, ordering and maintaining office supplies, and petty cash;
·         Perform administrative systems duties as assigned, including CONCUR, ARIBA, and WebCycle;
·         Act as liaison with RSD for Internal Communications, manage and update information on various communication platforms including the “Who’s Who” and other newsletters and documents;
·         Liaise with Talent on variety of tasks including PAF distribution for arrivals, departures and transfers, fielding general employee inquiries and directing to the appropriate representative, and forwarding verification of employment requests;
·         Assist with select on boarding tasks such as scheduling first day, completing I-9, receiving identification badge, social security assistance, and bank account assistance as needed;
·         Coordinate with partner to fulfill contractual obligations, including communications and training;
·         Coordinate with Talent on Employee Recognition Program and Corporate Wear programs: share updates, anniversary cards, organize ordering and distribution;
·         Coordinate with Benefits: provide general assistance to employee inquiries, open enrollment communication, forwarding leave of absence information;
·         Process Educational Assistance requests: assist artists, submit requests;
·         Coordinate with IT: service requests, password resets, access to shared calendars, show distribution lists;
·         Support Immigration as needed, including annual visa renewal communication and collecting information;
·         Coordinate with Payroll regarding employee inquiries, final pay delivery when needed;
·         Act as liaison for VIP guests, coordinate Lighting Booth Seats as well as coordinate Cirque specific customer service concerns brought forward by the Partner;
·         Manage the travel and lodging requirements;
·         Manage and organize well-being program: budget, events, birthdays, and show-specific activities;
·         In cooperation with other ACM’s within the Division, coordinate inter-company activities and communications;
·         Provide logistical support and take on other duties as assigned.

In collaboration with the current Technical Manager, this individual will:
·         Manage all technical activities and operations on a day-to-day basis in coordination with the Senior Operations Production Manager and the General Stage Manager and Venue Facility Engineering; including theatre auxiliary shops and off-site spaces;
·         Oversee and track technical training;
·         Provide guidance and support for all maintenance and training;
·         Work with the Performance Medicine and other technical teams to develop and maintain a safe working environment;
·         Source additional equipment and supplies are required;
·         Serve as the direct report for daily operational needs of all Heads of Department. Manage the HOD’s to ensure consistency of show call operations and quality as defined by the Senior Operations Production Manager;
·         Coordinate the crew schedules, show calls, vacations and department projects;
·         Oversee on-going required training for the technical department as directed by Cirque’s Talent, Health and Safety departments.  Ensure show technicians are current in required technical training;
·         Support the Senior Operations Production and Production Services Department in planning all local resources including labor and technical resources as required for the smooth install and operation of show content for outside events;
·         Support the Production Services Department in Technical Documentation of all modifications made to the site and show equipment; including all capital improvements;
·         Oversee and participate in the preventive maintenance and inspection program;
·         Ensure show presence; on-site management of crew to ensure scheduled performances;
·         Follow up on budget and reporting in coordination with the Senior Operations Production Manager; including budget forecasting and expense approval prior to committing resources;
·         Follow up on time keeping and reporting; including payroll verification for local crew if needed;
·         Follow up on scheduling maintenance and reporting in coordination with the Senior Operations Production Manager – follow-up on issues to be corrected by Venue Facility Engineering;
·         Support the hiring of the technical staff in coordination with the Senior Operations Production Manager; and with union affiliates as applicable;
·         Follow up on training, health & safety (i.e. training programs, fall protection, etc.), documentation, technical communication, Production Services projects;
·         Support the Senior Operations Team with various partner property departments;(HR, Entertainment Department etc);
·         Compile and send a nightly technical report to Show Senior team members.
The ideal candidate will bring:
·         Minimum 4 to 6 years in an entertainment office environment or an equivalent combination of education & experience;
·         Previous experience in stage crafts, including exposure and direction of property operations; 
·         Previous experience in a corporate partnership environment;
·         Bachelor's degree in Theatre Administration, Production or related field;
·         Fluency in English; both written and verbal;
·         Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
·         Must show initiative, have a dynamic personality, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and a capacity to manage several projects;
·         Must possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
