Site Operations Pool – Touring Shows

Cirque du Soleil is undergoing a period of growth; as such, we are actively seeking to expand our site operations candidate pool for our international touring shows.
Tour lifestyle:
- Cirque du Soleil tours in over 60 countries and over 450 cities across the world;
- Saltimbanco, one of Cirque du Soleil’s longest running touring productions, featured 6,000 performances to over 14 million spectators across the span of 20 years;
- Our tour crew continuously surpasses their limits to ensure that the show goes on. 
Did you know?
- Each show’s big top tent is supported by four masts, each 85 feet in height;
- It takes between 7-9 days to build the big top tent and site infrastructure;
- The flags displayed at the front of the big top represent all the nationalities of the cast and crew on the show!
As Tent Technician, you will participate in the set-up, tear-down and maintenance of the big top tent and other site infrastructures. You will conduct regular inspections of the canvas and lead repairs in order to uphold the integrity and security of the big top and related equipment.
As Assistant Head of Tent, you will assist the Head of Tent (Tent Master) in managing the team, whilst participating in the building, maintenance and daily inspections of the site infrastructures.
As Tent Master, you will be responsible for site marking prior to tent set-up, planning and supervising the set-up and tear-down of all tents. Your technical expertise in raising big top tents, and your experience in adjusting to changing weather conditions will serve as a foundation for your leading of tent technicians and local staffers.
We hope you will bring:
- Experience in building temporary structures, tents or marquees for outdoor events, carnivals or festivals; or transferable experience in the construction or landscaping fields;
- Experience in reading technical plans, essential;
- Ability to work at heights, drive a forklift and operate other heavy machinery;
- Holder of a valid passport, able to tour internationally year-round and work in foreign countries;
- Fluency in English, fundamental.
