After a brief break for maintenance and innovation, the culinary and theatrical show will return to the Cirque du Soleil Theater on September 22.

Mayan Riviera, Mexico, August 23rd, 2016. Grupo Vidanta, leading developer of resorts and tourist infrastructures in Mexico and Latin America, together with Cirque du Soleil announced that the first three weeks of September will be destined to the annual recess of the experience culinary and theatrical in the Mayan Riviera, JOYÀ.

Since its premiere in November 2014, it has gained recognition and success internationally, positioning itself among the most desirable travel experiences in the Riviera Maya and in Mexico. The intimate show, which has only 600 seats available for each performance, has operated at its capacity limit since its premiere.

Cirque du Soleil constantly assigns periods for both the staff and the cast to take vacations so that the theater can be maintained. JOYÀ is not the exception, so his break will start after the last function of the season on Saturday, August 27th, returning on September 22nd to start the third season.

Yasmine Khalil, executive producer of JOYÀ and president of 45DEGREES, one of the Cirque du Soleil companies says they need this break "…to allow artists to renew themselves and enjoy a well-deserved vacation, all our shows, including JOYÀ, need an occasional break. During this time, it takes advantage to reinvent the show and propose new creative interventions.”

JOYÀ is a unique culinary and entertainment experience, developed by Cirque du Soleil. Since its launch full of celebrities in the fall of 2014, the first show in Mexico has received extraordinary reviews and a great attendance feature after function. The intimate representation takes place at the Cirque du Soleil Theater designed by Grupo Vidanta, located in the Riviera Maya.

JOYÀ will return on Thursday, September 22nd with daily shows from Tuesday to Saturday available at the Cirque du Soleil Theater in the Riviera Maya.
